The Alliance of Ukrainian Organisations (AUO) is an association of Ukrainian civil society
organisations in Germany. Our members are based in various federal states of Germany, mostly in Berlin. We were founded after the start of russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine in 2022. The AOU sets itself the goal of making Ukraine visible in Germany, so that it becomes more tangible, closer and more understandable to our society in which we live together. We want Ukraine to be perceived as a subject and as a free European country in German politics and media.

The organisations of the AOU create new synergies, support each other in order to help people directly and to make the work effective and sustainable. The AUO operates in the field of humanitarian and refugee aid, education, work with children and youth, culture, politics and political education. We help and empower Ukrainians in Germany and the whole Ukraine.
We act for an open and democratic society and are against any xenophobic, racist, homophobic or right-wing radical positions. We stand for a free, democratic and indivisible Ukraine within its borders prior to russia’s invasion in 2014.
