Ukrainian School in Berlin: A Bright Future for New Generations

Berlin, September 7, 2024 – The Ukrainian School in Berlin* is marking a new stage in its development by opening its doors to 200 students in a modern, bright, and spacious facility that has already become a true center of education for Ukrainian children in Berlin. Our school not only offers an excellent learning environment but also resembles a fairytale Hogwarts due to its architectural design and captivating atmosphere.

With the new school year, the Ukrainian School has moved to a new address near Treptower Park. The new building impresses with its spacious and airy architecture, large windows that allow plenty of natural light, and modern classrooms. The interiors of the school create a favorable atmosphere for the learning and development of children.

The school also features a library, which already has a significant collection of books and is constantly being updated with new releases from Ukrainian publishers. This allows students access to a variety of books to support their learning and development, as well as fostering a love for reading and enriching their cultural horizons.

Celebration for First Graders

On September 14, 2024, a festive celebration for the First Bell took place for first graders. This special day became a true celebration for students, their parents, and teachers. The solemn ceremony was filled with joy and excitement. Children, stepping through the school doors for the first time, received a symbolic gift – a Schultüte – containing pencils, rulers, erasers with the school logo, and, of course, sweets. The first graders enthusiastically and eagerly began their journey in a school that promises to be filled with new knowledge and friends.

The school offers education for children of various age groups: in addition to first graders, children from grades 2 to 9 are already studying here, providing a favorable and supportive environment for learning.

Event Calendar

The school has prepared a rich calendar of events for the new school year. Among the planned activities:

  • Educational Workshops: A series of workshops on various subjects will start to help children deepen their knowledge and develop creative skills.
  • Cultural Celebrations: The school will organize festivities for Defender of Ukraine Day, which will include a visit from Ukrainian military personnel to the school.
  • Christmas: A Christmas workshop is planned for December, which will be a wonderful conclusion to the year.

The school is already ready for the new academic year and looks forward to successful collaboration with students and parents. The new facility, events, and programs provide all students with the opportunity to develop in an environment of comfort and creativity.

We congratulate everyone on the beginning of the new school year and wish success in learning and joyful moments at the Ukrainian School in Berlin!
